DEALING WITH DRINK: adults and alcohol dependency
Course Overview
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the issues relating to alcohol problems amongst adults. The course examines the physical and mental health impact of alcohol as well as exploring the practical issues of supporting clients who are experiencing alcohol dependency. The course also analyses the various options available for clients who want to overcome and recover from their alcohol addiction.
The course is suitable for all staff who require a better understanding of the issues relating to alcohol dependency and how they may be better able to assist their clients.

- To examine the impact of alcohol dependency on a client’s mental and physical health.

Course materials
Each participant will receive the ‘Understanding Addiction’ course information book and a copy of the presentation materials used on the day.
Delivery options
- Fully interactively via Zoom enabling delegates to join from wherever they are. The Zoom training has all the qualities of in person training – group work, video case studies, Q and A thouroughout – but at a reduced cost and with no travel/accomodation expenses. The course usually lasts from 9.15a.m. to 1.15p.m. for those booking the course for in-house staff training the timings can be adapted to suit your particular needs and requirements.
