Description
County Lines is a form of criminal exploitation where gangs groom and exploit children and vulneranle adults to sell drugs. Often these young people are made to travel across the counties and use dedicated mobile phone ‘lines’ to supply drugs. Criminals are deliberately targeting vulnerable children – particularly those experiencing learning difficulties, going through family breakdowns, struggling at school, living in carehomes or trapped in poverty.
Once drawn in , these children are controlled using threats, violence and sexual abuse, leaving them traumatised and living in fear. This important course explores how ‘county lines’ operate, indicators of involvement and how to report your concerns.
